About: Art & Well-being
Discover Your Inner Calm
Traditional Korean art is more than a creative technique; it is a journey toward well-being. At Hanna Art, we invite you to step away from the bustle of daily life and immerse yourself in a meditative practice. By focusing on the rhythmic movement of the brush and the gentle flow of ink on paper, you will find a unique sense of tranquility and mental clarity

Pine Tree, Cloud, and Drawing the Meaning, Ink on Large-format Paper, 2015, 95 x 48 cm by Yang Jeong-mu
[Our Classes: Muk & Chaesaekhwa]
1. Muk (Traditional Ink Wash)
Muk is a deep, soulful black ink made from natural materials. This medium is a favourite among our local students for its incredible depth. By varying the concentration of water, you can express a vast spectrum of light and shadow. The quiet, repetitive process of grinding the ink stone is a beautiful form of meditation that grounds the mind.
2. Chaesaekhwa (Colour Painting)
Chaesaekhwa involves layering transparent, vibrant colours to create a luminous finish. Using traditional mineral pigments, you will learn to build rich tones on paper. The slow, intentional process of layering colour is a therapeutic experience, bringing a sense of vitality and creative energy to your day.
